Oil presure gauge removal

I have been doing a complete make over to my speed six and am stuck trying to get the oil gauge out. I know it has to come out through the dash but after unbolting the cable from the side of the engine I still cant get the blooming sensor out. Any suggestions please?

To be honest I thought that the oil pressure sensor is located on the drivers side inner wing?!

I thought that was the water temperature sensor hole.
Lots of penetrating fluid and possibly undo the adapt or bolted into the block which may help release it, but be careful not to twist the cable too much.
