About time someone started a thread which wasn't obsessed with engine problems. Is everyone scared of jinxing theirs?

I'm not! That is - I'm not driving it - just blowing up dealer loaners!

Mine's fine too.

The car is ready for its 12k service on 16th August though. Only things I want attending to in addition to the service are:

- Adjust headlights, still too high (since new)
- Drive belt makes a chirpy noise when cold, goes away after a mile or so of driving. Probably loose or needs replacing.

Oh, and I haven't needed to put any oil in it.

6 K so early days but it just gets better and better-just love the Liddl 6 pot beauty.Warranty giving peace of mind to. Genuinely sorry for thoughs who have problems but when its all working OH MY GOD!
General standard of 350C is good too-not the best built car ever but solid where it counts and nothing like it for passion and style.

Almost 20K and better than ever!

Not sure if this new forum is a good idea, why not go the whole hog and call it the S6 bashing forum?? or, better still, the forum where business' rely on s6 failures can vultch the people who want proper advice into spending no less that £5K!!
Sorry, but the crap I read makes me very annoyed, and I sometimes wonder if we're being 'preyed' upon!

The forum was created in response to PHer demand.

I wish there was nothing to talk about...

Whether there is a dedicated forum or not - this stuff keeps returning time and again, ad infinitum. I don't know if anyone can seperate fact from fiction anymore - but least its all here, in one tidy bundle with a ribbon round it, under Ted's bed.

It also makes it a convenient place for Tamora, T350, Cerbera S6, and Sagaris owners to drop into for a look - its not just the Tuscan running this engine. Thanks again Ted.

Hear hear!

If TVR released a statement of facts about the Speed Six problems and did something about it, this section would never had been started.

I for one, would be glad to see the information being added as a news item and as a sticky on the Tuscan (and any other affected) forum. I am sure that everyone concerned, the people who have forked out £4000 for each rebuild, the current owners wondering about the life of their engine, and potential owners who are looking to buy a Tuscan, would not mind one bit if all of this section and all the thread were replaced by one solid report from TVR!

Until that happens, I am afraid this is the best place to get the information people *need*.

I do not think this is a 'bashing' forum. If you have read the thread started by the guy who has had three rebuilds, I dont think you could say that this section is a dark dark place inhabited by 'trolls'!

At the moment I am still unsure what I would do if I was presented by what to do if I needed a rebuild. I would want figures on how many cars had needed a second rebuild for a start. The TVR 'fix' has now been shown to be not much of a fix statistically. I would then have to make the choice whether I entrusted my money to TVR from factual reports on here (notice the lack of official report) and the information from TVRCraft or anyone else who can physically show me the problem and can offer a potentially more reliable fix. That information will also be on here when it arrives I am sure!

This *should* be a forum for affected individuals to gather information which is not offered anywhere else as a whole about what to do about a very nasty situation personally and financially.

I would hope that organisations and those connected to them would be restricted to news/information items and wouldnt post on the board, and threads contain genuine recommendations. So far TVRCraft have had a policy in providing information openly to Pistonheads, which is an excellent way forward.

The way is now open for TVR to do the same!

I know the forum's a great idea, but I just get visions of vultures flying overhead, waiting for the next victim to try and bleed dry. (that was yesterday, not so grumpy today!!! lol)
I guess it does give the Tuscan forum a break from the front line battle of this silly S6 verus V8 war that goes on and on and on and,,,,.

I think perhaps by putting all this stuff in one place it means we can ignore it in one go rather than having to keep tripping over it in all the other forums?
