Speed Six Valves
Discussion
Going to see 2003 Tuscan tomorrow thats had an engine repair at Racing Green, had the followers, camshafts and bearings replaced, but not a full rebuild to Racing Green standards. I called them to discuss, rebuild was 12 months ago.
Apparently, after the followers, the thing to be aware of is the valves eroding,
Has anyone had experience of this, should i be cautious, or am i being overly paranoid?!
Just when i think i have found the right one something pops up!!

My t350c has just been rebuilt at by Jason at str8six, it had 56,000 miles on the clock and was only starting to burn out 1 of the valves and this was due to a stretched valve that resulted in it not closing properly. Apparently, after the followers, the thing to be aware of is the valves eroding,

Check valve 10.
During a rebuild any builder especially RG will inspect the components and only replace what is needed, if they were showing even slight signs of wear I'd imagine they would have been replaced taking in account the cost of the entire job.
