Petrol Pump in speed six getting Louder, WHY??
Discussion
Had this too and wasn't the pump!
Solved by local fuel-injection expert Mike Evans Motorsport; on mine it got loud after running for 40mins or so. It was heated-up fuel on the return line to the pump, which heated it up and made it vibrate a little more making the noise.
Solved completely, mainly by adding plastic coiled tube-protector (think available at Halfords etc?) on the supply and return lines where they run close to the engine, I also insulated the fuel rail using fibre washers.
