help wanted satnav with large currect speed display

is there one when im not being directed gives a large display showing my currect speed?

Id seen these but was looking for a bigger display of speed so I could use it as a in line of sight speedo..

If you have an android smartphone or iphone then a speedo app will be your best bet.

i have but want the satnav perminently mounted in my ultima.. do u know if any of those downloads will work on a satnav.. also display better in numbers rather than looking like a speedo due to speeds..

I can't believe Satnav manufactures don't do this a feature.
Surely the technology is already there in the unit.

It would be really useful in my MGB where the speedo needle normally waves over a 25mph area on the dial!
My Dad ended up buying himself a Snooper thing that cost as much as a TomTom.

I bought a cheap (£50) satnav from ebuyer and downloaded an application pack from somewhere which included such a thing.

Just displays speed (decimal rather than analogue dial) as large as you want in whatever colour you want.

See 1:56 and at the top RHS there is a 'speedo' link.

They have newer models but as far as I know you can still hack them to put whatever apps you can find on them.

I have the software if you need it.
