Anyone here got a clue why a new Tomtom rider just displays 'No Maps Found' when turned on? Looking at the SD card it appears the maps are all there, about 920Mb of them in a folder called Western Europe.
The tomtom was ex-demo from halfrauds & them being the useless shop that they are claim it's not there problem as we can't find the receipt. That's even though they remember selling the damn thing as it came in from another store.
So far the tomtom forum is completely useless & I can't get an answer from their email support page or had time to call the helpline.

I'm now in the same boat with my tom tom one - I get the message 'no maps found' on start up. I'm keen to find out why, the maps appear to be on the device, and as above, there is a massive file called Western Europe Maps!

Go to the TomTom web site and download the utility called "Clear Flash" run it at least three times, even though it doesn't appear to be doing anything it often clears the missing map issue, the utility and instructions can be found here http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_... - Mike
