Can anyone tell me the difference between BMW Sat nav professional and the ordinary.

Hi Benny

The BMW Professional refers to full colour turn by turn navigation as opposed to what you refer to as the "ordinary" which is mainly labelled as Business Navigation which, depending on the BMW model/generation is not a map based product.

As I said it very much depends on the model, age of BM you are thinking of.
