Came across the Tom Tom Start 20 (with Euro maps) for 119.99 on Amazon (new). UK mapping only is only a tenner less so I will take the Euro mapping as we may use it in future.
I like the wide display and the way it show junctions/roundabouts.
Need it to be simple as the wife will use it too and has never used one (or driven in UK).

Any better products out there than this for the money - it seems to get great reviews everywhere: http://www.techradar.com/reviews/gadgets/tom-tom-g...

I got this one for £109.99. Seems good enough, built in window connector, lane guidance, camera warnings and very clear woman instructions (how rare do women give good instructions)!

Good prices, although by the time you've paid for a new map IMHO you may as well buy from Amazon smile

Tomtom do a latest map guarantee, not sure if it applies to refurbs but if it does you can download the latest maps within 3 months of first using the device, for free.

Thanks for replies guys.
I took the Amazon deal at 119.99. - very fast delviery.
It's my first sat nav and I like it.

Don't like the fact that the Start range is not supported via the Tom Tom Home software package though.
Also would prefer to change from driving directions to walking with less digging in the menu.

It will become the wife's one when she gets a car so more than good enough for here but I will want one that works with the Home software so i can plan routes on the pc.
