Which TomTom for Europe?
Discussion
After making do with my phone app sat nav for far too long its time to buy a proper one. We had a Tom Tom XL a few years ago and were very impressed.
We are off the Paris Disney next week so could do with buying one over the weekend.
Tesco are doing the Start 20 EU for £140.
Halfords are doing the TomTom XL2 IQ Sat Nav - UK, ROI & Western Europe for £99.90 in a sale. Is this the old version? Not too bothered as its £40 cheaper (my fuel from home to the chunnel) as long as the maps are upto date and the system is clear and reliable.
I need to buy in store really as going Tues so cutting a bit fine for online purchases.
Would prefer to stick to Tom Tom thanks.

Thanks for replies.
Bought the Tom Tom Go 20 Europe in the end from Halfords for £130.
They had sold out of the XL2 IQ at all my local stores.
Couldn't risk relying on buying online as we are going tomorrow.
Spend 3 hours updating maps last night after I had registered on Tom Tom home site. Hopefully it won't let me down. Getting a decent map of northern France just in case as well.

Got back late sat, Tom Tom performed faultlessly and 3d junction view was invaluable.
Even the speed camera positions were accurate in France.
O/T drove from Disney Paris to Sleaford in one go on sat and found it so easy in France to drive to the speed limit (130km/h) for long distances on cruise. the A1 & A26 were pretty quiet. Had a fantastic meal in a service station half way to the chunnel. They even had steak on offer! I think a 2/3 week camping in northern europe might be on the cards next year.
