Tomtom IQ routes - no maps -

hi.
I recently "updated" my Tomtom through *Home* and it then crashed! We couldn't do anything with it, after teying loads of things, we completely removed everything from the PC and the satnav, then tried installing a fresh version of *Home* and reinstalling up to the device.
All went well, apart from I now have no map! I have no intention of spending £50 with tomtom for a new map, is there anywhere they can be downloaded elsewhere?

Tom Tom recognises the device and knows that you paid for maps already. when you connect to tom tom home it will detect that you are missing the default map and trigger a download and installation. You may have to have subscribed for map updates for this I'm not sure about that but this happened to me before and it updated from Tom Tom Home no problem.
