Navman S90i & USA Maps - HELP!

OK - this is a frustrating one, and I'll probably have to call Navman to resolve...but I bought their Navman S90i Satnav about 4 years ago (at the time it was the flagship sat nav). I want to buy the USA maps, but it looks like they are no longer available from their website. Has anyone purchased these recently?
This is really annoying me - about 8 years ago I bought a previous Navman unit (something like the CNI 365 or something). I got the US maps for it and all was well. 12 months later I wanted to get the maps for OZ, but they stopped supporting that model and told me I would have to part exchange and upgrade to a newer system to get the OZ maps (the S90i). I decided to do this and pay the difference and they told me I had to send my old system back and would lose the USA maps. I didn't envisage visting US again for a whilst so didn't think it would be a problem.
Now I am going again I want to purchase the maps for my new system....but is looks like they have done the exact same thing....stopped selling maps for a slightly old system to try and upgrade people to a new system.....which means I'm going to lose the OZ maps again if I decide to do it (and it's going to cost me way more than the £60 or so it should cost).
Annoying as hell, and I'm hoping this isn't the case....so 3 questions:
1). Has anyone bought the USA maps recently for the Navman S90i?
2). Is it possible to 'transfer' maps to someone else? so I can buy 2nd hand maps and a key which means I can use the maps on my system (and the other person who is selling them won't be able to use them any more)?
3). Has anyone else had this annoying situation with Navman where they stop supporting units that are only a couple of years old to make you upgrade to a new system if you want to buy new maps.
