Tomtom Via 120 Live vs Go 820 Live

I have decided it is time to buy my first ever satnav, but am totally baffled. I had narrowed it down to one of these, but do not know what the difference is. (Via 120 Live vs Go 820 Live) Is it the fact that the 820 has an SD slot, and is that important?

Can anyone please offer some helpful advice? I am assuming there is something different between the Go models and the Via.

My main reason for the purchase is an extended trip to France this summer, and perhaps a little use at home with my work. The bluetooth aspect will be handy, but not sure I need the live traffic updates. I am sure it is something I would not pay to renew after fhe free 12 months.

Perhaps you can suggest something else that would suit me better?

After a few minutes - I am not sure, but screen size and mounts may be different.

If you don't think the HD Traffic will be useful - then that opens you up to the other brands. The advantage of TomTom is HD traffic is it works on pretty much all roads (when it works that is) - you can see the real time information on their website at livetraffic.
