Hello all.

I switched my 750 live on this morning, as usual, it displays the tom tom screen, makes the tom tom noise, then just sits there.

It has done this before, and after a short while it will indicate it is reading from the memory card and return to normal.

On this occasion it hasn't.

Switching it on and off, holding the on button to reset it, etc, all achieve nothing, I have had a screen full of text telling me all sorts of details but that is about it.

If I take the memory card out, it tells me it has no maps.

If I connect it to my tom tom home, and ask it to update, I get this :

An error has occured, and these are the details :

ERROR: 2152398861/#https://home.tomtom.com/redir/services: Error from server: HOME cannot connect to the TomTom server (server refused connection).

Any help please ?

do you have a windows backup of the unit and card on your PC? (This is NOT a TomTom backup, as that is usless for recovering a unit.)
