Hi

My Tomtom Go720 has started showing just the first 3 or 4 digits (e.g. SN16) rather than the option of the full postcode (e.g. SN16 9XY).

I have recently paid for the updated maps as we will be using it abroad soon.

Does anyone know if this the norm? Could I get the option of the full postcodes back?

cheers smile

Assuming you are not daunted by computers, hook it up to your PC and browse the files on the device. There should be a folder called zip (so assuming the TomTom mounts as drive E: it should be E:\zip)

Download the latest postcodes directly from TomTom here and copy them into the zip folder. If the folder doesn't exist, simply create it and copy the files into it. Unless you are travelling to the Netherlands then you only need to copy the 2 UK files.

That should get you the full postcode series again.
