Anybody any experience of the Garmin Nuvi 2545LMT? Particularly the live traffic system.

Just look up the customer reports on Amazon .They stopped me in my tracks from buying one.its amazing how folk preferred their older model to the rather lofty promises of the newer models.so thats what im doing on . Com as they can be unavailable on.uk due to their age?One guy raved about his old GArmin Nuvi 365W so ive made an offer for one ,but i dont think ill get it at the price ive offered.

I think you'll find that series isn't real LIVE traffic information. If it has the free updates for life, it definitely isn't.

I've just bought a nuLink! 2340 Live and this does have live services, including local Google search, just like the Tomtom Live units. Very useful.

I bought this as a backup to my Tomtom 1005 Live, as I keep hearing that the Tomtom service has been on the blink of late.

I have to say the Tomtom has far better mapping quality and I find it easier to use. Ran them both yesterday on a 400 mile run and it was interesting to see two different routes offered up!

The Garmin unit seems to occasionally lose the displayed road for a few seconds or minutes, which doesn't help approaching complex junctions. However, as a backup, I'm happy and it only cost £110 from Tesco Direct, including one year of live services.
