Evening all.

I'm looking for a discreet (and if possible, cheap) device to track our forthcoming trip.

Ideally, something that is on when the car is on & that overlay our completed route on a map, perhaps once downloaded from a mem card or even better, on an Internet site.

Transferable from car to car would be a bonus.

Thanks in advance,

Simon

I use an app called GPX logger on my iPhone for this sort of thing. It is also possible on my Pogo Alert+ speed camera detector, but I find the iPhone easier to use.

Brilliant. Downloaded this & another called raah tracker. Will try them both. Cheers, Simon

Tried GPX, it doesn't seem to give you route details like distance & speed. The other one gives comprehensive data.

Have I done something wrong with GPX?

I haven't tried it with that, I use it to overlay a track onto Google Maps, or to add GPS position data to photographs (by syncing the timestamps).

For £2.49 I bought this and it's brilliant:-

It does this:-

Allows you to give people access to your account to track you real time & if abroad, you can turn data off & it'll sync via hotel wifi for example.

Great stuff smile

Thanks for your help with the pointer. I guess the evidence could be incriminating.

The journey shown was my wife in our 500 Twinair this morning. Nice & steady.

I'll omit speed data if I post anything....lol
