I had a search but couldn't find much on this.
I want to buy a Satnav app for my iPhone but not sure which one is best.
Currently I have the free Apple Maps and Google Maps but the problem seems to be the same with both - When routing it never seems to choose the shortest route - it seems to just actually calculate the shortest route on Mways and A roads?
Often I find myself wanting to travel on a fun route, yet the GPS insists on taking my via the Mways, A roads which run along side the B660 for example!
So question, which Sat Nav App should I go for for the most 'fun' routing?

Go to settings, choose from "fastest" or "shortest" route, then find setting to disable motorways

Ive used multiple, most will let you do the above

Or buy a map......

They all claim shortest but the backroads are not considered in the calculation

TomTom for iphone has a nice winding roads option, with either low, medium or high.

Tend to use the medium and it gives some very nice routes.

I've had some success with B-road routing on a TomTom by selecting the limited-speed routing (~50mph).
