MX 5 ND (MK4) no cig lighter!

I don't smoke so what's the problem? My trusty (and very old) Tomtom needs to be plugged in, aarrrghh! Plenty of gadgets to turn cig lighter sockets into USB ports but nothing the reverse of that, unless someone knows different?

Alternatives? Mobile phone app? Update sat nav to a modern one that will charge from USB? (do modern ones do that?)

Is there a USB port? TomTom should sell a cable to fit your Sat Nav with a USB end.

Yes there are 2 USB ports in the car and I have a USB cable that connects the Tomtom to a PC but not sure if it will charge it at the same time it is connected via USB. Will investigate that further. Ta.

That cable should charge the TomTom too!

It's in the passenger footwell under the dash.

I did try it but the green light on the front didn't light up so maybe it doesn't charge it?? Thanks anyway.

Maybe I should have read the manual a bit more carefully, doh! Much appreciated!

Just need some yoga classes now to be able to use it, talk about hidden away.
