Budget Head Unit under £200

After some advice, looking for a budget head unit up to £200.

Current considering kenwood KFC x5000bt, pioneer MVP x560bt or clarion fz502e.

Not fussed on dab as TVR has terrible reception but would need bluetooth so I can stream radio and music from my phone. Also would rather have something that's simple looking and not to chav like. Will be un amplified running to infinity kappa 2ways

I'm always pleased with the sound quality from Alpine units around that price point. They tend to be ergonomically quite good as well.

Not currently got a DAB aerial on it, but it plays FM fine. The winner for me was being able to change the screen colour to match the dash, iPhone & spotify compatibility.
Sound quality is a big step up from the old kenwood it replaced, too.

Thanks guys, like the basic look of the pioneer unit. Had a pioneer unit some years ago and it was truly awful, wasn't cheap either so have been slightly burnt, but will look into it.

Any other guys?

I like the JVC units, not as "fussy" as the Pioneer & Sony alternatives imo

I know you've said you're not interested in DAB, but I bought a JVC kd-db97bt recently and am happy with it. Pretty much fully featured and a decent price at just over £120. The only criticism so far is that the sticky pad on the base of the microphone was pants and didn't stick at all, so replaced that with some 3M sticky tape.

I have a Pioneer X560BT

No complaints from me, only really use it for Bluetooth Streaming from my Phone

Pioneer is a good shout.

That said I would seriously consider amplifying your Infinity Kappa 2 Ways. Otherwise I reckon you would get better results from a decent stock set of speakers ; they are far more efficient than aftermarket coaxials/components which require amplification to get good results.

No complaints one the Telephone quality, and the unit uses Siri well. Streams etc, and not 'horrid'

I bought one today !
Doesn't look the best quality in the world compared to my old JVC and the controls will take some getting use to I think.
Am I right in thinking there are no bass + treble controls,only an equalizer ?

Did yours come with an aerial ?
The one I got has a sticker on it saying it's a Halfords only product and there's no aerial.Not that I wanted an aerial
