DAB cuts out when i turn the headlights on

I have a Celica GT4 with an aftermarket Pioneer radio installed. The DAB aerial is installed in the top left corner of the windscreen. It is absolutely fine when the headlights are off, but the moment I turn the stalk on the headlights, the DAB signal drops out completely leaving me with nothing and a message saying no signal.

No internet search provides me with the same issue. Does anyone have any theories?

Usually aftermarket radios are connected to the headlight system to dim the illumination at night/when the lights are on - I'd look to see if this is something to do with it.

As mentioned above, EMC interference from the lights could be an issue to if they aren't OEM.

The lights are Osram nightbreakers in standard housings in order to not create a light output that blinds other road users, something OEMs seem to be unable to do, but i digress.
I will remove the pin for the night time illumination and report back. I am insure as tp wether the distortion is due to electrical draw though, I folded the mirrors today with the radio on and it created distortion.

I have added extra earths in the engine bay and have ensured all earth bars and points inside the car are clean.
