hi, i have to park my new car in a car park where there are a lot of scumbags who can't drive to save themselves. less than a month in, and i got my first bash! of course, no-one leaves a note.

previously, my old car had been whacked no less than ten times in the same car park. 3 of them serious, and one nearly writing the car off. the door dings i'm not too bothered about. but bad bumper damage or more, i want to capture on camera.

ideally, i'd like to catch them in the act - trying to flee the scene, and i'd pop out a bush, drag them out their car and do comparable damage to their being... but i am a good law abiding citizen!

i see there are "parking protection" camera systems. is anyone clued up on them and could offer advice?

they seem to have motion sensor, when it detects a bash records 10 secs before and 30 sec after, or something like that.

has anyone got anything like this?

are they mounted outside of the car? and how?

not interested in dash cam, GPS, or any other features. just something to catch the hit and run scum... unfortunately it is a guaranteed when, not if until my next bash... and parking elsewhere is not an option frown

any help appreciated, thank you.

I've has 1 or 2 in 30+ years
Safer to forget the tech & park somewhere else!
