I have a mid 90's TVR Griffith, fitted with a stainless dash and matching dash controls. I'd like to update the existing Pioneer head unit (early 2000 vintage) which doesn't have Bluetooth but does have a cabled FireWire connector for an iPod, to a silver finished head unit ( to match the dash) that doesn't look too "bling" and that will allow me to stream music via Spotify or similar.
Any recommendations?

Hi,

I had a JL Audio bluetooth receiver fitted by my local car audio place, model MBT-RX.

It was £100 fitted and it attaches to the rear of the unit so you wouldn't even know it was there.

Like you, I wanted the facility without having an all singing, all dancing gizmo with flashing lights everywhere, wanted to keep my original radio.

Thanks, I'd been told by a few people that the head units "firmware" wouldn't allow any "adaptors" to be connected to it and actually work. That sounds like a really good solution!
