DAB radios 3.5mm aux jack to car stereo?

Too old for R1, R2's hit and miss (definitely miss when Steve Wright's on).
Don't want to replace the stereo, so been using phone via aux.
Looking at a DAB receiver, do they all just transmit via FM, or can any be hooked up via the 3.5 aux?

My car came with one of these from the previous owner

The DAB aerial lead and USB power goes in, then plays via AUX out.

Used it maybe once as I've since put a different head unit in which has DAB+

Same with my Pure Highway - output via the 3.5mm aux or FM
