Need a new battery for our X5, 90Ah 900 CCA or similar.

Is there any need to fork out for battries, or is the Halfords (Yuasa) equally good?

Thanks,
Fred

I found this site has best prices for known makes.

Buy local, I would try ECP when they have a voucher, they don't squabble on the 5 year guarantee like the link above.

Thanks. Got a Duracell from ECP. Could've gotten a Bosch for the same money from the Tayna but not convinced by their warranty policy. Surprisingly hard to find any comparative tests or review on batteries.

What do you mean by squabble? All the ones for my fitment (115AGM) had a 3 year guarantee from ECP, tayna was up to 5 years depending on the make.

Loads of people on the forums say that Tanya always try and wriggle out of replacing them, stating that they have been used incorrectly or something or other.
