Are 80s model Mondial or 308 reliable?

I am looking into buying a 308 or Mondial for my next car. I really like the look of both and am wondering how reliable they are for a several times a week driver. I do all the maintenance on my cars and have access to a lift. I'm new to the whole Italian car scene but I really want to dive in. Thanks in advance!
