Has anyone gone with a bluetooth speaker as standalone in-car audio solution (i.e. using a phone as the source)?

Our Citigo S has terrible audio and as we were considering a bluetooth speaker for general use anyway, I wondered if it was possible to get a decent position in a car to get good audio from it? I imagine a good bluetooth speaker would easily outshine an OEM (front speaker only) car system.

Have you considered rejecting the Car?

It's obviously not fit for purpose....

Stick a ghetto blaster on the back seat.

Ideally a Hitachi 3D Super Woofer Twin Drive for full '90s chic.

I use a ue wonderboom in my passat daily, sits in the cup holder and does what I need it to do. Connect it to my phone and off I go.

Doesn’t fit in the cup holder as such but more on top. Just behind handbrake.

+1 for UE Boom. Fits perfectly in cup holders, long battery life, great sound and you can link two for true stereo effect

I use a UE Boom 2 in my Clio. Wanted to keep the interior standard so a speaker is a good solution for me.
