Same diameter speakers = same depth?

I’ve searched for compatible speakers for my car but am trying to get the price of speakers down. Are all (for example) 17cm speakers the same depth? Would be really handy if they are as I can hunt around for some big brand bargains.

no not all same depth...better ones typicly will have a deeper magnet so need to check before buying

The mounting depth is usually stated in the specification.

If you buy speaker adaptor brackets that match your car, you should not have a problem with depth.
