Android "Car Play" boxes

Anyone tried the DigiDash 3.0 or Carlink Tbox devices to use with a wired Car Play unit?
I don't have any Apple devices for can't use CarPlay natively, and my new (to me) Cayenne doesn't have Android Auto.
The boxes above have Android built in and claim to allow the boxes Android OS to connect to the head unit using a Car Play cable.
