Car is a 2022 T-Roc with MiB3 infotainment unit.
We connected Waze (iPhone) to the satnav but didn't really like it so went back to using the VW satnav and Waze hand held (wife/passenger) for the traffic updates etc. All works well but when we plug in the usb power lead from the car socket the iPhone looses all volume and Waze voice become an almost silent whisper. I have got something wrong but no idea what !
Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Brian.

I found that in Waze settings the bluetooth tab was ON, now OFF. When iPhone is connected via usb lead then there is volume now, so that's better but it is only about half sound level of when not connected. Any ideas about this ? Cheers. Brian.

If you have the lead plugged into the car’s USB socket (as opposed to a charger) than the Waze output is going to the USB socket, not the phone’s speaker. So you need to change the audio system’s source to Aux in or the like in order to be able to hear it. Or have I misunderstood something?
