Looking for a replacement for a MW & LW radio fitted to a 52 year old car.
Don't want to hack the dash so it needs to fit into the existing "two post controls/spindle mount" aperture.
TBH I hardly ever listen to radio now but used CDs in my other cars.
Could "Bluetooth" from my phone but don't want to run the phone battery down inadvertently.
Could plug in a memory stick to a new unit but my limited experience of that wasn't good. Couldn't easily find the track/album I wanted.
Any recommendations please. Nothing too expensive, the wind noise at 60 will drown out most things.
Will also need two speakers, hopefully something discrete down the sides of the footwell.
Thanks

edit to add, don't need DAB a there's very little DAB reception up here.

Have a look at Pioneer, I replaced my FM/AM in my Panda with FM/DAB/USB stick input/bluetooth etc
Less than £100. If your adding DAB you'll need a mini DAB arial that sticks on the inside of the windscreen.
Loading music onto the USB stick is easy to do.

Can't see any spindle mounted ones in that Pioneer list.

If it was me i would fit a parrot mki9200 or more modern equivalent to the existing radio, then a discreet magsafe charger for your phone. Vintage looks, modern features.

I have one of these. Spindle mount, Bluetooth, DAB, FM, hands free telephone.

Expensive, but very good.

You could hide something like this discreetly, and leave the original old one in place
