Hi

I have just been given a renault grand scenic dynamique 2010 by a friend. I'm looking to update the built in sat nav on it. I have taken the SD card out the car but can anyone point me in the right direction of how to update the maps on it.

Google search suggests Renault site or the Tom Tom site but can anyone help with the exact place to get this?

Thanks?

I believe someone was asking similar a few weeks back. Can't remember the exact brand, but it was a French car.

They had an App where, once logged in, one could request map updates.

Might be worth a look.

I gave up on built-in satnav about 10 years ago. Waze or Google maps are always up-to-date and generally far easier to use than manufacturers efforts.

That's not especially helpful though is it laugh

And unless you wish to spunk cash on linking things to your older in-car tech, it can look a bit messy too.

A quick map update is often free and gets you close to the destination without much fuss.

Sorry for the apparent failure to help. I never mentioned 'spunking cash' on anything...

Are you saying that you don't even have a phone holder in the car, then?

Some people just like to keep the original look of their car and not have ugly plastic phone clamps and trailing wires everywhere. Space for everyone in their preferences.
