Car has an alarm and immobiliser but the immobiliser is bust (old) and has been bypassed.

It's easy to add a standalone Bluetooth distance activated or fob switched immobiliser, as the alarm can work ok without or with an immobiliser, and the wiring is fully known (+ve, ign +ve, earth, fuel pump in / out, starter relay in / out).

Problem seems to be sourcing a suitable immobiliser unit for sensible (less than £300) money.

Any recommendations?

I’ve had a Clifford Blackjax on a few cars and it’s very discrete.

Have you checked out some of the Bluetooth fob ones from brands like Pandora or Scorpion? They’re usually under £300 and pretty reliable. Also, some cheaper options on Amazon or eBay might do the job if you make sure they fit your wiring setup.
