DAB/FM aerial/antenna on Renault Trafic van

When my van was converted a poptop was installed and at the front a windspoiler is fitted.(Above the cab and at the front of the poptop). This is where the vans aerial was so that came off and this antenna was fitted internally to one side on where a mirror should be.
Reception is garbage...its awful, so I was wondering if I could get a good/best DAB/FM aerial....drill/screw etc a new aerial onto this windspoiler and splice the cable to the original cable instead of having to reroute it.....thats if I could even get the right cable...

Thoughts???
