Is the damage below likely to impact the sound quality?

Very likely it will make irregular sound waves in that condition. Whether you can hear these differences will only be known when it's back in the car.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Will take a look on ebay.

It's hard to know from looking at it. Dome tweeters can end up quite dented and not sound obviously off.

The thing that you definitely can always hear is if they are cracked. Terrible buzzing.
