Following a mishap (an electric gate opened in the direction I wasnt expecting and carried on opening and ripped the corner of the bumper off) my daytime running light connector tore the wires out.

These are the pins that are in the connector and I need to buy some more so I can get it working again.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks!

Most brands will sell connectors and repair loom sections. Certainly the case for VAG parts I’ve bought in the past.

Whilst the pins are likely a standard of some type, it’s probably going to be more hassle than it’s worth than just splicing in the entire waterproof connector.

Some sort of Molex style pins from the looks of it, but there are many different types that could be similar but different. Do a search online for 705337 and you should be able to find the connector as a whole or if not details of the exact pins it uses.

I'd probably be getting my soldering iron out and either splicing on to the wire or soldering direct on to the crimped section of the pin.

Thanks to all! But especially Hanslow-I googled 705337 and have ordered the complete connector with a few inches of wire already attached-meaning I can splice new and old together.

Cheers

It probably was quite funny to see. I drove up to an electric gate, big steel one, and when it opened it opened towards me. I was outside the car pressing the button, saw what was going to happen and dashed back to the car. Shoved it into reverse and as I backed away I saw the drivers front corner bumper pulling off. It reached a certain point and slipped off the corner of the gate it was caught on and with a loud bang sprung back onto the car. It s bent the metal o f the wing where the bumper attaches so some bodgery is required to fix that back together!
