I replaced my car battery last Wed due to my car not starting. Everyting has been fine until today. Today I have the same problem as last week. My car won't start. I am wating on a friend to give me a jump start.

What could be draining my battery? Radio and lights are not being left on.

Is anything charging your battery?

If you're not getting around 14.8 volts (measured with a voltmeter at the battery) with the engine running you've got an alternator or charging system fault.

you can usually get a battery system check at Halfords or battery supply shop

edited to add does sound like a dead alternator to me

Auto electrician definitely or a decent mechanic will be fine. Checking the state of battery won't give you the information you need.

There isn't enough information here to make a guess about whether it's a charging issue or a parasitic load.

Halfords will put the probe on and tell you if the battery is being charged with the engine running, unless you have made recent changes to wiring then dead alternator is more likely than a parasitic drain.
