Sat Nav for Europe

I don't have a real need for Sat Nav in the UK
but my wife (navigator?!?!) and I will be driving down through France next month and want to keep my marriage intact!

Is there a reasonably priced, easy to use unit that can be recommended primarly
for this trip?

I have a Tom Tom 700 and used it in France earlier this year. Downloaded french speed camera locations from Tom Tom site. Worked brilliantly.
My 'navigator' enjoyed the ease with which it could be used, but still insisted on using a map 'just in case.......'!
