TOMTOM ONE - day night sensor
Discussion
Please please please help a lovely lady (no not me) who is frustrated! She has bought a TTOne and the manual says that it has a light sensor. However, so far it stays on day vision, with no auto switch-over. The manual gives no clue, there is no DOCKING OPTION setting (which is where my TT 710 is set), HELP PLEASE. John
Yup, No ideas here either!!!
TomTom1 has no light sensor, All you have to do is hit the middle of the screen, then the bottom middle, then the top left, I can do it with my eyes shut!!!
There are programmes about so you can change the order of menus on the screen then you could put it on the first menu

Should be set to audio only when moving so as no distractions when driving
I'm guessing but I think Mr Crun is intimating that all SatNavs should have their displays shut-down, (i.e. be in audio-only mode), whilst vehicle is on the move. Reasoning seems to be that an active display is a, presumably, dangerous distraction for the driver. Same thinking would also call for banning all flashing neon signs, festive lights and heaven only knows what else. The Nanny State rolls on.
I personally find that a simple SatNav display, set to show a good 3-d overview, gives me a clear picture of what the road/junction/roundabout etc ahead looks like so that I can adjust my road positioning accordingly. No need to stare at it, if it's set in an approprite position, just a quick glance when safe to do so.

Well thanks for the advice, but i have seen it for myself, the TomTom One manual DOES state there is a night-time sensor. Maybe a manual fault (did they copy paste the Tom Tom Go manual and forget to delate this bit?). Maybe I shall try the TT help-line...
I've got a TT One. It doesn't have a light sensor. However, it does have a night SCREEN that you can manually choose so it doesn't light up the front of your car in the dark.
