Can anyone recommend a place to buy/fit a speed detector from (along with a "front parking sensor" device...), in the Surrey area (as close to Epsom as possible would be great).

Also, what is the general consensus for best brand to use? Last one I had (snooper s6r) was too big, but seemed to do its job.

cheers

"Front parking device" wise, the LT400 or the Lazer Pro Park seem to be the best couple at the moment.
I have been doing a little homework and these 2 seem to be the leaders, but if anyone knows better....

I find it hard to trust the advice of anyone who has aggressive pop ups and spyware on his site!

I was until that point seriously considering a detector as your prices were competitive no chance now.

After reading the Auto Express magazines group test I bought the Talex Lite unit. They are about £70 - £80 and can be got from Aldi or Tesco etc. It is an excellent unit, especially useful in the average speed areas. I just plug it into the internet every week and update it. Excellent.

has anyone here <know of someone> with one of these units and it was triggered in actual use? How effective was it?

Also, it seems there are limited areas to mount the unit on a 911... the only place is in the front PU which is very low - does positioning it so low reduce the efficiency?

Yes they work, mounting position should be as close to the numberplate as poss.

However, u know these garage door openers are considered as "perverting the course of justice" these days?

Anyone know the date when good old (non gps) detectors become illegal?
