Audi Sat Nav problem
Discussion
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone had any ideas about this....the sat nav in my missus A4 cab has gone funny. She had it taken into a garage to get the handbrake adjusted (MOT) Having got it back the sat nav isnt working (it thinks she's in Harlow when on the M1!)...the screen says "number of receiving satellites: 0". Obviously it's lost it's connection to the sky somehow....
Apparently it would have been disconnected from power for about an hour and a half when the centre console was removed to do the handbrake.....
Any ideas/thoughts or knowldge much appreciated
cheers

1) Try a reboot - hold down RADIO and SETUP button at the same time for a couple of seconds.
2) Seems you're not alone:

well we now have it fixed. Simple as follows
When Audi originally put the TV sat nav bit in, the coax GPS receiver cable had a problem of some sort. As a result they retrofitted a second cable at some other point (car second hand 04) The socket for the cable is colour-coded blue; as is the original cable. However the retrofit cable was green. When the garage chap disconnected it all to do the work and put it back together he quite sensibly plugged blue into blue....changed it over and works fine now
I would guess the chap on the other thread has not had the update hence periodically losing sat connection
cheers
