TomTom One - Problem adding Camera POI's

Hi,

Had a phone call from a family friend last night who was having problems setting up his new TT One.

He can't get the camera POI's to install on the TomTom - We can see the files in the Map folder when we explore the SD Card (via the PC) but they're not showing up in the application or on the maps.

Does any one know how to solve this? Have TomTom set it so that you must pay for the camera locations from them? Or are we doing something wrong?

Are they in the right folder, they should be in the maps folder, which on a UK only TT1
is called Great Britain..... I bet they are on the card but NOT in the right folder.

I think so... I think he has the European version though if that makes a difference

i have just purchased a TTOne, the camera locations dont come pre-installed.

I had to install the software on my laptop, and then install camera locations. Now, you friend should have had an offer on the front of the box for a free camera update. On mine it was a piece of paper stuck to the front of the box with a promo code inside.

Yep but he has the files from his last TomTom that he wants to transfer - Hence trying to install them but not getting anywhere

I have just got a tom tom 510. Got the scratch card for the speed camera's installed.But they are not showing up when connected to the car. anyone knows why?

I had same problem with the TT1. You have to go to Tom Tom Plus and start the speed cameras warnings from there.

I go to that and click "safety cameras warning" then "enable cameras"? is that correct?

Hi, if I remember correctly that is the way to do it. But only for the TomTom speed camera setup
