Have just bought 1 of these and can only put 1 waypoint in per journey. The unit works out rest of the route. Is there any way I can plan a route, say on AutoRoute, and load it into Garmin. Thanks a lot.

There is, but you can still only enter 1 waypoint at a time in your Nuvi. So if you plan a route in Autoroute from A to B via C, D and E, when travelling you would need to tell your Nuvi to go to C first. When you get there (or close enough) you then re-program your Nuvi to go to D and so on and so forth. It's a bit of a pain, but it's the only way round what I consider to be a major flaw in the Nuvis.

To convert the Autoroute file, you need a little utility called Itinerary Convertor, which will take an Autorute .axe file and convert it to a .csv file (or any one of a number of Sat Nav file types).

If you click on this link, you should be able to download it from there (it's a French site unfortunately)

You can add lots of favourites (favourite locations you can navigate to) so you can mimick way points to an extent.. I found it works well enough (I added 200+ Alpine passes in mine!)

Ah. Do you know how to import the file into the Nuvi - no reference to this or connecting to PC in Nuvi manual or (as far as I can see) on Garmin website?
