Hi, I'm going to Canada on holiday with the wife in october. I'm thinking about getting a satnav system there to avoid the usual fun with her navigation.
It would probably be a Tom Tom or Garmin unit, towards the bottom of the range (I only really need one occasionaly), they appear to be cheaper due to the exchnage rate.
Are the maps in these easy to change to the UK/europe? I'd need one with camera databases too, I take it these would change with the maps?

Or would it be less hassle just to get one here?

Cheers

Have no idea about changing maps, however when I was last in Canada I hired a car from Avis and took their Sat Nav deal. They hire out a Garmin and I couldn't fault it. To me it was easier than running around trying to change maps on my system here in the UK. Hope this helps somewhat

You can download and buy country maps for about EUR 50 and regional ones like Europe and North America for EUR 80 directly from Tom Tom. They are 20% off at the moment smile

We'll probably be hiring from Hertz as they have Mustangs I'll ask about satnav when I sort out the booking. I hadn't thought about the hire company having them!
