Right, personally i think this unit sucks compared to TT but i wanna make sure it is not my unit playing up.
Basically it gives me no warning on direction changes. Normally it will tell me to turn when i am sitting on or over the junction or turn. It is SO SO SO SLOW to update in realtime.
If i have it on show me map without course plotted it is about 100m out on roads, i am well past the road it displays.
It loses its signal so easily. I bought it for places like London but it gets very screwy round there!!!
Are they all like this or is my unit faulty?

Never had any problems with mine. I love it!

Maybe yours is faulty?

Have you done a firmware update?

Mine is okay, too. Doesn't do any of the things you describe. The firmware update sounds like a good idea.

Where did you purchase the unit? if it was from a retail store (Halfords, Currys etc..) take it back and get them to call Garmin customer service. Garmins returns policy means if it is a faulty unit they will swap it in store for a new one.

It sound faulty to me, so shouldn't be a problem to get a new one.

think it waas from GPSworld online. I will call them Monday and see what can be done. I have read alot about these units and firmware 2.7 causing lagging. Seems a very big problem with Garmin 3xx and 6xx series. Mine is software 3.5 tho frown

Do you have an insulated screen which may be causing the signal to be very weak? The only time I had a problem with my 660 was in a hire car with a heat-insulating screen, otherwise very accurate and quick-responding.

Dont think so. I use it in a Noble but it is equally bad in my friends Vectra.

660 works fine in my Noble with none of the issues reported earlier. Note that the flip-up aerial is designed to see the sats when it is horizontal and not vertical.
