Is it possible to set out a custom route on a Tom Tom Go 300 (old tech I know...) as I'm off on a road trip soon and would like to put in the route we have planned rather then trying to read the map as I'm going along.

If that model has itinerary planning on it, then you can take whichever route you want, and it is easy.
