Tom Tom 710 Problem

Hi All

Ok hoping for some help here, not used my tom tom 710 for a while, switched it on today and a screen came up with a picture of the memory card and a red cross on it. I removed the memory card and then put it back in thinking the card was not installed properly, but this did not haelp. Then went to the tom tom website and according to that the application is not installaed properly so i had to run tom tom home. I put the memory card into my laptop and ran tom tom home which prompted me to download the latest application and install it, did this then put the memory card back into the tom tom but still i get the same screen, can anyone help??

Sounds like the actual mapping data has become corrupted so you will need to re install everything, not just the software update. If you contact Tom Tom they should be able to e mail you a step by step guide

Have you backed up any of the old applications, that you could reinstall ?
