Sat nav for my father

I might get my father (75 yo) a satnav for Christmas. Anyone got any recommendations? Quick and easy to use are the 2 criterion.

Has anyone got any suggestions as I know nothing about them?

I find the TomTom hard to beat in terms of user-friendliness... the newer ones are nice and light, too.
