Another vote here for the Pogo Alert. I've had RA & RA Navigator in recent years and it's a step change better.

Especially like the fact that it auto-mutes if you're under the speed limit and that it calculates your average speed in SPECS zones.

No its not - its powered either by the cigar lighter lead or there is a dedicated hardwire lead for a more discreet install.

But the pogo drive is and it does almost everything the alert does for the same price and has sat nav too IIRC.

MADT350 over to you.

HI Jimmy, you are quite right the drive and the pogo alert are the same in camera features except the pogo drive does not have the laser.......but they both will have known 'hotspots' for mobile camera locations very soon aprox 2 weeks....

Pogo alert is great but having allowed my subscription to lapse they're trying to charge me a reconnection fee on top of my £50 annual fee. Not very happy considering every time we get into our cars we get fleeced...

Wow I suspect it depends on how long it had lapsed for. If for only a week or two there would not be a reconnection fee although i was unaware there was a reconnection fee.

It expired on the 31/1/08. It's in my weekend car so I had not got around to updating it. £50 a year for the updates is fair enough, but £12.50 to "re-connect" me after 1 month is a bit of a liberty.

I've written to them and if they dont waive the fee it's going on ebay.
Cheers

POGO saw the logic in dropping the reconnection charge so I've just renewed for 1 year @ £50.

I have an Origin B2 which is great UNLESS it loses the sat signal, which is fairly often unfortunately, is the Pogo better??? Only thing is the Pogo is not exactly slimline and discreet, being cube shaped is it???

Hope this helps. Its my pogo drive alongside my creative zen mp3 to give an idea of size. The pogo alert is a smaller square unit IIRC.
