Nokia N95 8GB + Sat Nav
Discussion
Just got a Nokia N95 8GB which comes with maps of the UK preloaded and you can download Maps for 150 countries Free via USB cable. The 3 day free voice navigation trail basically turns my N95 into a Sat Nav device, it's so good I've taken out a 12 month licence.
Was searching for new software and Nokia have just released the a new version of Maps (Maps 2.0) you can download. This has pedestrian navigation so it allows you to walk up a one way street (when in car mode it would send you in the opposite direction).
I think you could update a standard N95 using the same software to the latest spec.
Well worth a look as it's always with you.

Sat nav on them isn't bad provided it's up to date. I've used mine extensively across the country, only problems I've had arose when the road had recently been changed, and the odd occasion when it thinks it's not on a road.
Google maps and Tom Tom are also available, and work well, dare I say it better.
Only phone I've had that I've not grown bored of a few months down the line. Though I must say I've really taken a fancy to some of the HTC pda phones / smart phones which look the business, just not sure whether it's a jump worth making as I've no real complaints about the N95 other than it's a bit crap for emails.

Well I'm glad you find it ok.
I sold my 95 a day after getting it, as the Nav was sooooo bad. The phone is weak also and cant keep a signal.
Good phone, bad sat nav
The 8GB version is in a different universe. SatNav locks on in seconds. I had the original and it was rubbish. I used the 8GB one with Sports Tracker to GPS log all my skiing this weekend from my pocket.I sold my 95 a day after getting it, as the Nav was sooooo bad.
