Tom Tom One Europe Vs Tom Tom Europe XL
Discussion
Hi guys im going to be getting a tom tom on tuesday and want to know is tom tom XL worth the extra outlay over tom tom one? european mapping is a must as I plan to use it in Europe. and also is it worth getting. also does european mapping include the whole of europe or just western europe? also are the traffic models the ones that come with live updates or do they all do this?
Also where can one get the best prices right now!!!
thanks

thanks for that, fair point. will stick to the one. another question can i just load up the map of europe onto the memory card instead of paying for it! also are the models with traffic worth the extra outlay or just marketing also how does it work? (i really dont wana pay for things im not goin to use!!!)
The TomTom traffic modelsinclude an FM TMC service which is widely accepted to be rubbish (especially in Europe). That's TMC in general, not TomTom's implementation of it.
TomTom do their own traffic service which connects to your phone using bluetooth and a data connection from there. Much better and more accurate, tells you how far to the queue and how long the delay is. Then gives you the option to route around it if quicker. For that I think you'd need the XL (or a 520,720 or 920) as I don't think the One has Bluetooth?
I got my 720 from The Link as it was cheapest at £193 delivered.
